Model Natasha Poly at Dior's Autumn/Winter 2009 haute couture show

Call it a case of couture imitating art. Christian Dior’s latest lash masterpiece takes inspiration from a multi-tired gown at the haute couture Autumn/Winter 2009 collection. With its thick tiered brush and lash-fattening formula, DiorShow Extase delivers bigger, thicker, more extreme lashes than ever before.

So how does a dress apply to a new mascara wand? Think of the intricate tired cuts in John Galliano’s dress design as one big couture lash comb. Applied to a mascara, the tiny reservoirs in between each tier stores enough of Extase’s lash-fattening formula to style and separate each lash as the brush sweeps through.

Its star ingredient is the metamorphosis powder that expands to add instant volume on contact with each lash, plus an intense black pearl pigment coats lashes with a rich dense hit of inky-black colour. The final design touch, its click-closure lid helps preserve the life of this new lash masterpiece.
