Victoria Beckham

Fashionista Victoria Beckham was seen wearing a Lola wool crepe shift by Goat, a British label which is already a favourite among stars such as Sienna Miller, Elle Macpherson and Gwyneth Paltrow. The 36-year-old designer is in New York for the city’s fashion week.

Audrey’s LBD Is Still Top Pick Friday, May 28 2010

Proving that a beautiful outfit really is timeless, the simple black dress worn by Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s has been named the greatest female screen outfit of all time in a recent survey.

The Givenchy designed gown has become the iconic example of easy elegance.  Accessorised with pearls and elbow length black gloves this classic LBD is the gold standard for a lot of fashion buffs including yours truly.  Hepburn’s own natural style and grace brought it to life, while her quirky upbeat sense of humor made it relatable.

The survey was sponsored by the UK based DVD rental group Lovefilm.

It’s A Girl For Claudia Schiffer Sunday, May 16 2010

Congratulations to supermodel Claudia Schiffer and her husband, producer and director Matthew Vaughn, who have welcomed a baby girl.  This is their third child.

RIP Lena Horne Monday, May 10 2010

The Legendary Lena Horne

One of my all time favorite beauty icons the incomparable Lena Horne has passed away at the age of 92.  A trailblazer who paved the way for today’s african-american screen idols, Ms. Horne was a class act that never went out of style. She had an effortlessly ageless beauty and timeless grace that transcended race.

Katherine Heigl Falls Apart Gracefully Friday, Mar 19 2010

Grey’s Anatomy star Katherine Heigl handled an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction like a pro at the ShoWest awards on Thursday night.

A shoulder strap on her beautiful red dress snapped right in the middle of her acceptance speech.  While Heigl seemed momentarily flustered as she struggled to keep her dress up, she quickly recovered with a little assistance from the show’s host, Billy Bush.

Afterwards Heigl smiled brightly for photographers when she appeared in the press room with the offending strap pinned securely in place.  Further proof that the age old Hollywood adage, “The Show Must Go On”, is still held in high esteem.

NY Fashion Week Wrap-Up Saturday, Feb 20 2010

NY Fashon Week’s last parade under the tent at Bryant Park was everything that I hoped it would be. Although the week started off on a somber note, with the apparent suicide of design maverick Alexander McQueen, things quickly picked up as fashion’s best and brightest showed their latest collections.
